Welcome to 2009! Thank you for electing me to the Grosse Pointe Board of Directors, I am proud to be your President for 2009!
I am especially excited about 3 initiatives this year:
1. Our new speakers series of educational sessions to help all of you earn more money starting with "Selling Forclosures" with Kent Colpaert. Please take advantage of these educational opportunities!
2. Quarterly statistics to show what is "really" happening with Grosse Pointe real estate. Look for that soon.
3. Improving the GPBR website to make it more of a "destination" site for both GPBR members and the general public as well as a revenue generating source of income for our board.

Grosse Pointe Board of REALTORS
The Grosse Pointe Board of REALTORS® has named Cheryl Gauss as its 2008 REALTOR® of the Year. This award is given in recognition of outstanding leadership and service for the association, the community and the real estate industry.
Award winners were chosen by their peers and recognized both locally and at the annual Michigan Association of REALTORS’® Convention & Expo held in Detroit on September 17-19. Nominees are evaluated on their community service, education and business accomplishments and service to the REALTOR® organization at the local, state and national levels.
Gauss currently serves as President for the Grosse Pointe Board of REALTORS®. She is a member of the Junior League of Detroit and Beaumont Hospital Grosse Pointe Assistance League. Throughout over 20 years in real estate, she has consistenly shown the highest level of integrity and competence.
The Michigan Association of REALTORS® (MAR) is a 26,000 plus member trade association which protects the rights of private property owners while serving as the primary source for Michigan housing and real estate data. MAR is comprised of 45 Local REALTOR® Associations, which adhere to a strict Code of Ethics, established by the National Association of REALTORS®.
